Endow a Scholarship

Building a Legacy

Help Barnard meet its commitment to providing financial aid to all qualified applicants by endowing a scholarship in your name or to commemorate or honor a graduating daughter, a family legacy, or another important individual.

These funds are permanently invested in Barnard’s endowment. Each year, an amount equal to approximately five percent of the fund’s value is made available in the College’s operating budget for financial aid, providing much-needed student support.

You will receive an endowment report each year that includes a financial update on your scholarship fund and biographical information about each student chosen to receive the award. You will also have the opportunity to meet your student recipient at Barnard’s annual Scholarship Celebration or, if you prefer, through a private meeting at your convenience.

Endowed scholarships start at $125,000 and are payable over a period of up to five years.
